We offer competitively priced insurance for horseboxes used privately within England, Scotland and Wales. Quotes will depend on the value of the lorry, the age of the drivers and their driving experience. Mileage may be unlimited or restricted to 12,000 or 5,000 miles per annum.

We can provide instant quotes for lorries up to £20,000 in value but, for higher values, we have to obtain individual quotations from our Underwriters.If you use your horses for commercial work, we can provide cover for your non-HGV horse box.

We also offer Roadside Recovery and Assistance cover when you insure your Horse Box with us. And... you can benefit from a £10.00 discount when both fully comprehensive cover and Roadside Rescue and Recovery cover is effected with Carriagehouse Equestrian Insurance. Our policies can also include Uninsured Loss Recovery and Legal Expenses cover for a small additional premium. This assists you in the event that a third party is liable for the damage to your lorry and you wish to pursue a claim a claim against them for any uninsured costs or damages

The basic policies all include cover for accidental and fire damage and also for theft claims. However, policy wordings and the excesses that you pay in the event of a claim, vary depending on which policy is the most suitable for you.

With trailer insurance, you must bear in mind that you will be required to take certain security measures to protect against theft. These usually require that you must have in place a ball hitch lock and/or wheel clamp on the front wheel when the trailer isn't being used.

At Carriagehouse Insurance, we give you two options for your Trailer coverage. You can request a quote on your trailer either on a specific policy for the trailer itself or combined with your horse insurance, which can work out slightly cheaper as it forms part of the package policy.
