Our policies are for Fully Comprehensive or Third Party Fire and Theft cover used for carrying your own goods. The policy can be for any drivers aged 25 years and over but can be limited to insured and spouse only or include young drivers from 21 years of age. STOP PRESS: Horsebox Roadside Rescue and Recovery – we have recently launched a new scheme in association with Equine Rescue Services Ltd designed for Carriagehouse clients who insure their horsebox with us. This scheme offers you reasonably priced, reliable assistance in the event of a breakdown or puncture include transporting you, your horses and passengers home if your lorry can’t be fixed at the road side. ERS have a dedicated 24hr helpline and their own network of commercial rescue vehicles and horse transporters all with many years of experience and expertise giving you the peace of mind when travelling your horses. Our policies can also include Uninsured Loss Recovery and Legal Expenses cover for a small additional premium. This assists you in the event that a third party is liable for the damage to your lorry and you wish to pursue a claim a claim against them for any uninsured costs or damages. If you have a horse trailer that you wish to insure, we can help you find a suitable policy. The basic policies all include cover for accidental and fire damage and also for theft claims. However, policy wordings and the excesses that you pay in the event of a claim, vary depending on which policy is the most suitable for you. With trailer insurance, you must bear in mind that you will be required to take certain security measures to protect against theft. These usually require that you must have in place a ball hitch lock and/or wheel clamp on the front wheel when the trailer isn't being used. You can use this site to request a quote on your trailer either on a specific policy for the trailer itself or combined with your horse insurance, which can work out slightly cheaper as it forms part of the package policy.
