Personal Accident Cover

Most horse insurance policies provide a limited personal accident cover if you are injured
whilst working with your own specified horse.
However, we have developed our Rider & Driver policy specifically for you if you are injured whilst riding
or driving horses not owned by yourself.
It includes not only the payments for permanent injuries, but also a weekly benefit if you have
a temporary injury and dental treatment.
 

 

This policy is aimed especially for those who ride and/or drive other peoples horses. Our Rider & Driver Policy can also provide cover for temporary disability; i.e. if you are unable to work for a few weeks, you would be paid a weekly benefit.This cover is also available at a reduced rate for 5 to 18 year olds and includes legal liability cover to £1,000,000 per occurrence. The Rider & Driver Policy is suitable for the following :

  • Personal Accident cover for you riding/driving any horse and legal liability cover for you riding/driving anyone else's horse (NOT your own)
  • If you ride, drive or handle other people's horses but don't have any horses of your own, then you may take out your own Personal Accident policy and have it extended to include legal liability cover
  • If you drive, for your grooms or helpers who may accompany you in a carriage
  • For Junior Riders aged between 5-18 years
